My research group is hosted by the University of Maryland (UMD), where I have a dual affiliation with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and with the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics (IREAP).

Our research activities are mainly focused on the science and technology of photonic systems such as high-Q whispering-gallery mode resonators, time-delayed optoelectronic oscillators, and optical fiber architectures. The targeted applications include aerospace systems, optical and microwave communications, machine learning, quantum networks, time-frequency metrology, and fiber sensors.
